Overview

Rockerbox integrates with Reddit to track click and view-based touchpoints and ingest daily spend via API. View-based touchpoints are provided directly to Rockerbox by the Reddit team with no additional implementation required.

Setup Process

  1. Request API access from your Reddit representative (see API Access section below)
  2. Once access is confirmed, authenticate your Reddit account(s) on the Advertising Platforms page. This allows Rockerbox to ingest daily spend
  3. Append click tracking parameters to your landing page URLs (see Click Tracking below)
  4. Contact support@rockerbox.com with the launch date and the tier structure you’d like applied. If you want view-based tracking, the team can help with setup
  5. The day after launch, confirm tracking is applied on the Advertising Platforms page
Managed Service accounts: If your Reddit instance is Managed Service (not self-serve), email rockerbox@reddit.com and Reddit will assist with adding tracking.

Requesting API Access

Before authenticating in Rockerbox, you must have Reddit whitelist your account for API access. Send the following to your Reddit point of contact:
We need Rockerbox, our marketing attribution platform, to access the Reddit API on our behalf in order to report on Reddit spend in their platform. Can you please whitelist our account:
  • username: [your username]
  • email: [your email]
Important: Do not connect your Reddit account in Rockerbox until Reddit confirms API access has been granted.

Connecting Your Account

  1. Go to Data > Integrations
  2. Click Connect New Account
  3. Find Reddit and click Connect
  4. Authenticate through Reddit using your username and password
  5. Verify the username shown is the correct account, then click Allow

Click Tracking

These parameter values use macros and do not need to be manually replaced. Their values will be dynamically filled by the platform when the ad is served.

View-Based Tracking

View-based touchpoints are provided directly to Rockerbox by the Reddit team. No additional implementation steps are required beyond standard setup.

Requirements

  • Minimum spend of $50,000 over 12 months on Reddit advertising
  • Contact your Reddit account representative to confirm eligibility

Spend

Spend is ingested automatically via API after authentication. Spend data refreshes daily.

Verification

After setup:
  1. Confirm tracking is applied on the Advertising Platforms page
  2. Verify spend data appears in Rockerbox dashboard
  3. Contact support@rockerbox.com for QA assistance
