In the summary, we described how Rockerbox thinks about the attributes of an integration. In this section, we dive into the the specific data types and provide examples of each.

First-Party Data

First-party data is data collect on the behalf of your brand. An example of this data is the data collected from your website such as site visits, clicks, and conversions. In this example, the data is typically collected through the use of a CNAME record and on-site javascript. Often, the javascript is implemented through an integration with a tag manager or e-commerce platform. It is also common for an API integration with your e-commerce platform or customer data platform to be the source of this data. Depending on the integration, this data can be delivered to Rockerbox either by server-side Webhook, an API ingestion or a batch file delivery.

Third-Party Data

Third-party data is data collected by external platforms and shared back with Rockerbox on your behalf. All data shared with Rockerbox receives your authorization either via an API or through an agreement with the third-party to share information via batch file delivery.
