Overview

Hulu is a streaming video (OTT) advertising platform that enables advertisers to reach audiences through connected TV campaigns. Rockerbox integrates with Hulu to track streaming video touchpoints and spend through automated reporting.

Tracking Method

This integration uses server-side logs sent directly from Hulu to Rockerbox:
  • Weekly aggregate campaign-level data including spend and completed impressions
  • No user-level impression data is provided
  • For campaigns managed through Bliss Point Media or Prospect Point Media, additional impression pixel tracking may be required for user-level data

Setup Instructions

  1. Enable the Hulu integration in your Rockerbox account
    • You may be prompted to contact support if this is a net-new launch
    • Or if your current plan doesn’t include tracking for this channel
  2. Work with Hulu to:
    • Set up automated reporting following the requirements below
    • Configure proper file delivery to Rockerbox endpoints
    • Ensure all required fields are included in reports

Report Requirements

All files must align with the standard report delivery requirements:
  1. Files should be sent on a weekly cadence
  2. Each file should contain the previous 7 days of spend data
  3. Spend reports must be downloaded and sent manually by client teams each week
  4. Row 1 must be the column headers
  5. The “totals” row must be deleted before sending to Rockerbox
  6. Files must be delivered to the designated endpoint
    • Find endpoint details under Data > Advertising Platforms > Hulu tile > “Instructions”

Required Fields

Reports must contain these columns exactly as shown, including capitalization & spacing:
  • Campaign Name
  • Campaign ID
  • Flight Name
  • Flight ID
  • Ad Unit Name
  • Ad Unit ID
  • Spend
  • Calendar Date
  • Delivered Impression Completes

Verification

After setup:
  1. Confirm files are being delivered to the correct endpoint
  2. Verify data appears in your Rockerbox dashboard
  3. Check that spend amounts match your Hulu reporting
