Overview

CJ Affiliate (formerly Commission Junction) is an affiliate marketing platform that enables advertisers to track and manage partnerships with publishers. Rockerbox integrates with CJ Affiliate to track affiliate marketing touchpoints and spend.

Setup Instructions

  1. Contact support@rockerbox.com to enable the integration
    • Let them know the launch date, UTMs you will apply, and tier structure
  2. Work with your CJ account manager to:
    • Apply URL parameters to all URLs (required for publisher level reporting)
    • Set up automated daily reporting to Rockerbox
  3. For click tracking, have your CJ rep append these parameters to all landing pages:
    • utm_source = commissionjunction
    • utm_medium = affiliate
    • publisher_cid=1234 (dynamically filled by platform)

Report Requirements

All spend reports must align with the standard report delivery requirements:
  1. Your CJ account manager will assist with setting up automated daily reporting
  2. Share the endpoint provided by support@rockerbox.com with CJ
  3. Reports should be sent daily, as early in the day as available (e.g., 7am is better than 10pm)
  4. Format requirements:
    • Timezone: UTC
    • File type: .xlsx
    • Follow standard formatting requirements

Required Report Fields

  • Period
  • Publisher CID
  • Publisher Name
  • Total Commission (USD)

Verification

After setup:
  1. Confirm daily files are being delivered to the endpoint
  2. Verify spend data appears in your Rockerbox dashboard
  3. Check that spend amounts match your CJ Affiliate reporting

  2. Check that files are being delivered to the correct endpoint
